La La La: The Power of Wordless Books - LiveLoveLearnGracefully

Hey there! So I just wanted to take a minute to tell you about an amazing book we stumbled upon at the Library this week. It's called La La La by Kate DiCamillo. I'm sure you have all heard of Kate DiCamillo and her fantastic pig Mercy Watson or The Tale of Despereaux.  This gorgeous picture book, illustrated by Jaime Kim, depicts a tale of loneliness and hope all bundled together in a fabulous book with no words. They need to interact, look out their windows, and play games. During one of our many trips to see family in Pennsylvania, we starting getting the kids to … [Read more...]

Eastern Neck Island, Maryland A little piece of Maryland worth seeking

We love adventures! I have a friend that also blogs  that taught me a fun, sometimes unsuccessful, but neat trick (check it out: TheBuckitBlog).  You bring up a map, search the green areas, pick one, and explore. Now as I mentioned before this can sometimes be unsuccessful, however sometimes it leads to a little slice of outdoor heaven. This specific adventure lead us to Eastern Neck Island, Maryland. A quaint little island loaded with history, nature trails, wildlife, insects, and so much more. … [Read more...]
