September in Review: Homeschool Journey

Hey there! Welcome to October!  We absolutely love September and October for the weather, the lack of summer hustle and bustle, and lack of tourists! So we are excited for Fall!  Miss B started Kindergarten at the end of August, so we have successfully made it through our first six weeks of Kindergarten! Woo hoo! Although it is a bit tricky at times with five little ones under five, it's also been a blast! I love watching Miss B do her thing. Sometimes she gets on a roll and I don't even need … [Read more...]

These Bees Count Nature Walk and Activities

These Bees Count by Alison Formento is a fantastic picture book all about honeybees. Not only will it walk your children through what bees actually do, there are also opportunities to work on counting as well. These Bees Count is a perfect book to add to your Nature Walk Book collection for the Spring/Summer. I just love that this book is short enough to hold even the young readers attention, yet FULL of information about bees, honey, nature, and so much more. This book opens to door for … [Read more...]

Leaf Man: A Nature Walk and Book Series

Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert is a perfect book to pair with your Fall outdoor activities. I know that it's not Fall right now, but I just had to include this terrific picture book into this series. This book is a perfect addition to In a Nutshell, The Dandelion Seed, and Raindrops Roll. If you haven't read Leaf Man, it's an absolute must. You will love the great illustrations, the concept of a leaf man, and the cool places that leaves will blow. There are so many fun activities and conceps that … [Read more...]
