I don't know about you but I love read aloud to my kiddos. I've read to them since before they were born and we haven't slowed down yet. (Check out our February and March read aloud lists.) Morning Basket Books for February
We started a Morning Basket at the beginning of this school year and have been pretty consistent with it all year. I've changed my method throughout as a way to read more books and stay consistent but the idea has remained the same. We read! Each day whether before breakfast or right after breakfast, the kids get to pick a quiet activity (coloring, play dough, blocks, puzzles, etc.) to play with while I read. How To Use An Author Study In Your Homeschool
Until just this week, doing an author study in our homeschool/preschool never even occurred to me. Once it did, I have not been able to stop thinking about it, brainstorming ideas, plotting our next one and what we will do differently.
