Welcome back to Live Love Learn Gracefully and another Literature Unit. This is a complete unit of study for Stella by Starlight by Sharon M. Draper. This unit is packed full of ideas that will expose your kids to pieces of U.S. History, Grammar, projects, Literature, and more.
Stella by Starlight
Stella by Starlight is an amazing story of family, community, faith, and bravery. The main character, Stella, is a young girl growing up in a segregated South in the 1930’s. She sees first hand the effects of the KKK as well as the strength of her community. This historical fiction novel gives kids a peak at life in the South during this time, including the process of registering to vote for an African-American man.
In this unit you will find activities for a variety of subjects including project ideas. The following is just a few of the topics and activities you will find in this unit.
