During a Speech Therapy session a few months ago, we discovered that the P sound was especially hard for our little Shrimp to do and immediately became something that we needed to work on. So, I did what anyone would do, I took to Pinterest for ideas.
Being the book lover that I am, I wanted to find a few great books that we could read or look at that would emphasize the “P” sound and be fun at the same time.
So whether you are teaching the Letter P to your preschoolers or need to work on the “P” sound like we do, here is a fantastic list of books that will have you, “Puh, Puh, Puh-laying” your way to a perfect P sound.

We are still working hard on the Letter P sound with our little Shrimp. As the saying goes, good things take time. Don’t get frustrated if your little one doesn’t pick up on certain sounds right away. While Shrimp is making progress in other areas the P sound is still one that is extremely difficult and one that we will continue to work on.
The great news is that I am armed with a few different resources to help me, help her. We can read books, play games, and look for the P sound in all aspects of our day and play. The repetition and continuous yet unforced practice are necessary to encourage her use of the P sound.
Best wishes and best of luck as you work on the Letter P or the P sound with your little one.
