Mom’s Choice Phonics App for Preschoolers

May 15, 2017 By Dani Wagner Leave a Comment

I’m always on the look out for fun, engaging, and yet educational apps that will strengthen the skills we are already working on without feeling like work. I think that’s the hardest part for me, I find what seems like the perfect app, it matches what we need to work on, checks off all my boxes, but then my kids hate it.

Goodbye, see ya! I don’t have space on my phone for an app that no one likes.

However, I was so glad when Miss B immediately fell in love with the Read with Fonics app. She is constantly begging me for my phone and goes immediately to this app. She would play forever if I let her!

So what is the Fonics app?

The Fonics app, created by Sophie Cooper, is the perfect blend of fun and educational. The adorable green alien will march your child right through 44 different phonetic sounds and slowly teach them all through several different fun and engaging games.

Phonics App

What I loved about the Fonics app is that it’s progressive. The app provided my daughter with several different games to help her learn the sounds and to help her generalize the way letters/sounds are used. Games include matching letters to create words, identfiying letters that make the sound, and so many more!

My daughter loved the games, the alien, and being able to unlock new ones! It was like a challenge that she happily accepted! Knowing that if she did well, she would unlock more games and sounds!

This app has great graphics, is easy to use, and will definitely keep your kiddo engaged. Phonics is the foundation for reading (in my opinion). This app will help your child be able to decode words because they will know the different phonetic sounds.

So if you are looking for a great app for your preschool or even Kindergartener, I highly suggest you check out Fonics. You can download it fron your app store or check it out online at Read with Fonics.

If you enjoy it, please pass it on:
