How We Do Yoga Daily

July 8, 2016 By Dani Wagner Leave a Comment

Yoga. A physical activity that seems to be picking up steam as a fantastic form of phyiscal activity for all ages. What we love about yoga is that we can do it together as a family, and I mean our ENTIRE family. We can also pretend our yoga poses are different animals or objects that go along with our lessons for the week. Not to mention the physical benefits of yoga, strength, balance, breathing, etc. For all these reasons and more we do yoga daily!

I am no yoga instructor and am actually still learning yoga myself, which means we are all learning together. So, in an effort to make yoga easily accessible and without having to turn on the TV, I created a Yoga Ring.

We placed our yoga cards on a ring and hung them on a hook in the living room. They are now close by at all times. We have found quite a few different sequences to work through as well as some fun themed yoga poses that we love.

Printables as Seen on our Yoga Ring:

Garden Yoga for Kids: Childhood 101

Calm Down Yoga for Kids: Childhood 101

Y is for Yoga Pose Cards: Eager Ed

Yoga Positions for Moms and Kids: Visualistan

The girls are now beginning to have favorite poses that they request whenever we do yoga. It has been so fun to see them grow in their stretches and in their understanding of how to get into and out of each pose.

A few tools you may need to create your own Yoga Ring:

Our next step is to start focusing on our breathing. With three girls, three and under I think that may be a challenge! Wish me luck!
