So I’m trying something new on the blog to see what you guys think. This month I’ll be starting an Early Intervention Series. Each post will focus on one specific strategy that anyone can use. Whether you are a daycare provider, teacher, grandparent, or parent, you can successfully carry out these strategies.
Early Intervention Series
These strategies focus on areas for children from birth to three. They will include strategies for play, spatial awareness, sensory awareness, language development, and more. Check out Language on the Go for the first post. This series will provide one specific strategy, ways to implement it, and ways I’ve used it with my own kids. I will also discuss the benefits to using the strategies and how you can incorporate the strategies into your daily routines.
Early intervention strategies don’t have to be hard! They don’t have to be complicated, they can be something as simple as playing I spy or hopping on 1 foot. These strategies are meant to be simple, sometimes silly and fun things that you can easily slip in while you are walking to the car, walking into the daycare center, cooking dinner orgetting ready for bed.
I hope that coming from a mama, these strategies will encourage you to try something new and have fun with your sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Just explore the world of early intervention and all the fun things that your kids can be learning during this phase.
What are some of your favorite strategies for language development or sensory awareness?
I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you enjoy this series.
