About Me!

Hi! My name is Dani. I am a proud christian mom to three beautiful, sweet, and spunky girls. Bumblebee is almost three years old and my twins (Tuna and Shrimp) are 18 months.  My sister said my Blog should be called “Life with 3 under 3.” She also threw out a bunch of other ideas, including, “Insane in the Mom Brain.” As you can probably imagine things are CRAZY.
I have also been married to my college sweetheart for almost four years now and can not wait to see what the next 70 bring! He is super talented, an amazing dad, and my best friend. I am truly blessed!
I was recently presented with the opportunity to be a SAHM and am loving every single minute. Being home with my girls has always been my dream, so I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us (more on being a stay at home mom later). Since I’m home, I’ve decided to home school Bumblebee for Preschool. Which has been so exciting, and we have only just begun.
Before I began my gig as full-time mom, I taught middle school Reading/Language Arts. I absolutely love being a teacher and I love, love, love books and reading. There is nothing more relaxing than being able to curl up somewhere with a good book (which doesn’t happen very often anymore, let’s be honest). Being a mom has allowed me to pass on that love to my girls. I think it’s so incredible that we can just sit and read books for 30 minutes or an hour. I began my journey as a teacher with an undergraduate dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. Then I went on to get a Master’s Degree in Agriculture Education (my love for all things outdoors and country). Since I have traded in my heels for yoga pants I’ve begun working a few hours a week as an Early Childhood Special Educator. I work with families to help their children meet major developmental milestones that will be vital to their success as they enter their schools years and eventually in life.
As for my roots, I would consider myself a Southern girl (although I haven’t lived in the South since I was 12) with an East Coast address. There is a lot to be said for the East Coast, the gorgeous beaches, beautiful Fall colors, and close proximity to everything. However, I truly miss the quiet, simplistic country living. There is nothing like the peace and quiet of the country.
A few of my other passions include being outdoors, visiting vineyards, and just helping others. My dream for this blog is that moms around the world may find inspiration on those days when they just feel like they are sinking. From being a mom of multiples to homeschooling, and from infant open-heart surgery to keeping your faith and your sanity during the terrible twos or threes or fours, I hope that you will find yourself at home here.
Warmest wishes,
Dani

I am a SAHM mom with three active little girls all under the age of three. I love reading, teaching, being outdoors, my faith, and family. I support moms in every aspect of their journey through motherhood whether it be hospital stays and surgeries, moms of multiples, homeschooling, or just trying to make it through the day! Read More…
