It’s probably no surprise that I love Pinterest, except that since blogging and doing Preschool at home with B, my infatuation with Pinterest has hit an all time HIGH! I could spend every free minute just browsing, not even searching for anything useful. However, I don’t have many free moments, so that doesn’t happen! But I could…
In fact, I don’t have a lot of free anything anymore. I used to read constantly. Now, I can’t tell you the last novel I read for myself (not counting Little House in the Big Woods). I also can’t tell you the last time I listened to an adult (country, christian, rock, rap) radio station for more than 5 minutes before switching over to something a little more kid friendly.
Please know, that this is not me complaining, this is just life and a life I love more than words can express! As I read in an amazing post by MamaNeedsCoffee about parenting, she said, “this is just a season.”
My season consists of speech and physical therapy, preschool, learning to blog, early intervention, potty training, a threenager, terrible two’s x 2, twins, and doing it all on a budget. And I LOVE every minute.
In the midst of all of this, I have created a little Pinterest sanctuary of my own. A place where I can go whether I just need a few minutes to regroup or just need to smile.
While I use Pinterest mainly for educational and blogging purposes, there is however, one small slice of Pinterest that is near and dear to my heart. What I love is that there is absolutely NOTHING useful about this board what so ever.
The pictures in this board bring a smile to my face. They bring back old memories or help me to remember that I have so much to be thankful for. They bring beauty to sometimes dreary days. They bring peace and calmness when the house is filled with chaos.
So, today my friends I wanted to share with you the Places That I Love Board. This board contains so much natural beauty that it just makes your heart smile (if your into flowers, water, and old rustic structures, like I am).
What gives you that moment of peace or the smile that we all sometimes need? What do you have as a quick go to when you just need to regroup, change your mindset, or not lose your sanity?
It could be pictures of family or friends, a funny quote, or a Pinterest Board full of amazing kitchens or organization strategies (those would also make me smile). Find your mini happy place, it’s good for the heart and soul!
